At times, life presents challenges that as individuals you may find overwhelming, you may feel unsure of what is happening inside and around you. On top of that, you may feel that you just cannot find the words to emotionally express yourself. As an Integrative Child and Adolescent Counsellor, I offer a non-judgemental space where we can explore these feelings through talk therapy, play or creative art based therapy.
I use my knowledge from a variety of therapeutic modalities to assist the client in gaining a deeper understanding of their concerns and issues. I offer one-to-one brief, short and long term therapy sessions to children and young people that are in need of therapeutic support.
As well as working with children, I also provide parenting support. This ranges from helping parents gain a deeper understanding of their child's behaviour and emotional needs, to developing a parent's capacity to reflect on their own responses to their child and how to improve and strengthen the parent-child relationship.
In my experience sharing your story and allowing yourself to safely express, reflect and grow your unconscious patterns, enables you to build trusting and open relationship with your therapist and others you come into contact with.
