I am a qualified counsellor and psychoanalytic psychotherapist with over thirty years experience of working with and caring for individuals in crisis. In response to adverse situations whether social, emotional or physical, many of us develop conscious and unconscious patterns of behaviour and difficult feelings which damage ourselves and those around us.
Many are rooted in early experiences which have never had an opportunity for expression. I offer a confidential and non-judgmental space in which to explore and help you understand and manage often very difficult feelings.
By establishing a trusting relationship, we can begin to reflect on these in new ways, untangle the confusion and deal more healthily with suffering. I am UKCP registered and an accredited member of BACP and work within the ethical frameworks of these professional bodies.
I offer long and short-term work with clients and also offer supervision to therapists and trainees.
