Shalom Cousin
Professional Profile
With over 18 years of experience, I am a UKCP-accredited psychotherapist providing high-level, private therapy in Harley Street and Golders Green. I work with individuals seeking meaningful, lasting change in their emotional lives, relationships, and sense of self.
My background includes extensive clinical work across diverse settings, along with a BSc (Hons) in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from Roehampton University — a programme known for its rigorous academic and clinical standards. I take a primarily psychodynamic approach, helping clients uncover and work through unconscious patterns that shape their current experiences.
I specialise in working with high-functioning professionals, creatives, and community leaders navigating complex emotional challenges — including anxiety, eating disorders, bipolar affective disorder, and interpersonal difficulties. Sessions are collaborative and attuned to the individual. I provide a calm, grounded space where deep psychological insight leads to real transformation.
For clients who value a thoughtful integration of psychological and spiritual insight, I also bring Rabbinic training and can offer culturally informed care rooted in Jewish tradition.
Therapy is offered in English and Yiddish. I am recognised by AXA, BUPA, and Aviva.
